User experience is all about designing experiences that people love. In another word, it’s about how a user feels when interacting with a product, a service or a brand. It is the job of a UX Designer to make sure that they address the users pain points which will help them achieve their goals by wearing the hat of a user.

Here’s how we design delightful experiences at CSI.

With regards  to product design one thing we have to keep in mind is that we can’t force the users to use the system. If done so the output will end up being useless with lots of junk data and end of the day as a Product, it will be a failure.

At CSI we are crafting the next generation healthcare products with the latest tools and technologies in the market. Our core product is Healthcare Information Systems (HIS). When it comes to HIS, be it a solution used by Patients, Doctors, Nurses, Receptionist, Technician or back office staff, UX is core of the product. No matter how advance your technology is or how flexible your architecture is, if the user experience is bad no one will be using your products.  At CSI we value the importance of UX strategy, research, visual design and testing. These are essential to make our products useful, engaging and easy for our customers to understand and master.

So, how do we try to meet and exceed the expectations of our users? It starts with our UX designers empathizing with the real users. They interview the stakeholders of a project to understand the business, the background, and become truly knowledgeable about the subject.

We first come up with the personas in which we identify the attributes, pain-points, the goal and what they want to achieve in the system. It is critical at that stage, to have a deep understanding of users – what they need, what they value and also their constraints and environment. Then we identify each users’ journey and come up with the journey map and take both into account when we are taking strategic and design decisions.  Then we start with visualizing the solution with low fidelity prototypes and upon getting feedback from the users, we convert them into clickable high fidelity prototypes. Visualizing the full ecosystem allows us to connect all actors across the modules.

Our UX designers wear the hat of the end users and keep our customers at the heart when we design our solutions. This is what drives all user experience designers at CSI, who have the amazing opportunity to impact the lives and experiences of patients and healthcare professionals around the world.
